Vuxna människor
Mathilda is thirty, employed at a law firm and in a relationship that is about to become an engagement. The proposal sets off something she cannot name, and she starts making decisions that a functioning adult would not.
About
A TV4 and C More drama-comedy from FLX, developed by Piodor Gustafsson as a spin-off of the 1999 Felix Herngren and Fredrik Lindström film of the same name, and directed by Felix and Måns Herngren with Adam Pålsson. It ran to eight episodes in the autumn of 2022 and was nominated for Best Comedy at the Kristallen awards the following year.
Carla Sehn plays Mathilda, a thirty-year-old lawyer whose boyfriend's proposal triggers something closer to vertigo than joy, and whose subsequent decisions are the series' engine. Felix Herngren, David Dencik, Katarina Ewerlöf and Rakel Wärmländer fill out a cast that the Swedish reviews singled out more consistently than the writing — Kulturnytt in P1 called Sehn genialisk while describing the show as a blend of Solsidan and Bonusfamiljen.
Swedish critics landed on a collective 3.2 out of 5: threes from Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten and Moviezine, twos from Aftonbladet and Expressen, with the recurring complaint that its portrait of thirtysomething inner-city Stockholm runs on familiar material. Watch it for Sehn and for the supporting bench rather than for the premise, and treat it as a companion piece to Solsidan — the same milieu, a generation down and considerably less sure of itself.
